TELEC certification is mainly required for export customs clearance. Therefore, the certification is highly recognized by customers and can help products sell better and faster in the Japanese market.

2. Introduction to Telec certification

The "Radio Law" requires the type approval of designated radio equipment (that is, the certification of compliance with technical regulations), and the certification body is a registered certification body recognized by MIC in the scope of designated radio equipment.

TELEC (Telecom Engineering Center) is the main registered certification body for conformity certification of radio equipment in Japan.

3. Telec certification type

TELEC certification includes Test Certification and Type Certification.

Test certification is to verify each equipment unit, and the certification is only valid for each verified equipment unit; type certification refers to the verification of samples of a batch of equipment of the same design and manufacture, and the certification is Effective, but if the design or manufacturing of the device is changed, the device will need to be re-certified.

It is worth noting that the use of non-low-power radio stations and their terminal equipment needs to apply for a license from MIC. In addition, there are two cases for the compliance certification of telecommunications terminal equipment: for ordinary telephone devices, only JATE certification is required in accordance with the Telecommunications Business Law; for wireless terminal equipment, in addition to the JATE certification required by the Telecommunications Business Law, it is also required TELEC certification is carried out according to the requirements of the Radio Law.

4) Operation description; (that is, the description of the working principle and process of the chip and crystal in the block diagram of the other party, which needs to reflect the model and crystal information)

5) BOM; (need to reflect all crystal information and chip model and all zero device bit numbers)

6) PCB Layout;

7) Bit number map; (that is, the position map of the components on the PCB board)

8) Label; (It is necessary to indicate the size and the position map on the product, reflecting the size of the MIC logo, MIC number, and MIC logo)

9) ISO9001;

10) Antenna specification;

11) Module specification;

Note: All submitted documents are recommended to be in Japanese, and English documents are also acceptable. The test report can be in the language of the local test agency.
