KC certification
1. Why do we need KC certification?
In order to enable consumers to have a clearer understanding of the certification marks marked on the purchased products, and to reduce the various certification costs borne by the product manufacturers. The Korean Agency for Technology and Standards KATS (Korean Agency for Technology and Standards) announced on July 1, 2009, the standard "Self-Regulatory Safety Confirmation, Annex 05" applicable to portable secondary lithium battery packs and lithium batteries. Products are included under the self-declared product category of the KC certification system.
2. Introduction to KC certification
1) KC Mark Certification Products List (KC certification product catalog) According to the "Korea Electrical Appliances Safety Management Act", since January 1, 2009, electrical product safety certification is divided into two types: compulsory certification and self-discipline (voluntary) certification .
2) Compulsory certification means that all electronic products belonging to compulsory products must obtain KC Mark certification before they can be sold on the Korean market. Factory inspections and product sampling tests are required every year.
3) Self-discipline (voluntary) certification means that all electronic products belonging to voluntary products only need to be tested to obtain a certificate, and no factory inspection is required. The certificate is valid for 5 years.

The KC certification mark changes according to the size of the product
1) The KC certification mark is a mark that makes the product or container and packaging easy to distinguish, and it is also a mark that is not easy to fall off by printing or engraving;
2) Adjacent to the KC certification cover, mark the KC certification number. Other matters related to safety standards are supplementary notes in Chinese or English;
3) The color of the KC certification cover is marked in black.
