1. Why CB certification is required
The main goal of the CB system is to promote international trade, and its means are to bring manufacturers closer to the ideal "one test, multiple applications" goal by promoting the harmonization of national and international standards and the cooperation of product certification agencies.
2. Introduction to CB Certification
1) The CB system (IEC system for conformity testing and certification of electrical products) is an international system operated by IECEE. The certification bodies of each member country of IECEE test the safety performance of electrical products on the basis of IEC standards. The test results are the CB test report. And CB test certificate is mutually recognized system in the member states of IECEE. The purpose is to reduce international trade barriers due to the need to meet the certification or approval criteria of different countries.
2) IECEE is the abbreviation of the International Electrotechnical Commission's Electrotechnical Product Qualification Testing and Certification Organization.
3. CB certified product range
The products covered by the CB system are products within the scope of the IEC standard recognized by the IECEE system.
For export to Saudi countries, the following products must be CB certified:
1. Mobile phone peripherals; 2. Dishwasher; 3. Charged water pump; 4. TV (TV); 5. Mobile computer.
Four, CB certification process
1) Data and sample review;
2) Formally open the case;
3) Test;
4) Report preparation;
5) Submit for issuance;
6) CB transfer to IECEE registration.
Remarks: For the certification project for export to Saudi Arabia, the following two steps are required:
1) CE to IECEE registration;
2) COC cargo clearance.
